The Greenville Humane Society is proud to announce that the 2016 Mutt Strut, presented by Papa John’s, was a record breaking event for the organization. The fifth annual Mutt Strut, which took place on Saturday, August 27th, at the Greenville Tech campus and along the Swamp Rabbit Trail, had 2,000 participants and raised nearly $80,000 for the organization. 1300 dogs joined their owners in the race.
All proceeds from the Mutt Strut directly benefit the Greenville Humane Society. This event enables the Greenville Humane Society to vaccinate, spay/neuter, feed, house and provide medication to over 6,000 animals entrusted to their care.
Sponsors for this year’s event included presenting sponsor Papa John’s, as well as Corley, ScanSource, Camp Bow Wow, Fairway Subaru, Spinx, Bon Secours St. Francis Health System and Snoozer Pet Products. Graphic Cow, Pepsi, Garner’s, Clif Bar, the Greenville News, Trader Joe’s, My 102.5, Garrett’s Golf Carts, and Dobson Towing also supported the event.
