Tucanos Donates School Supplies to Greenville County Schools

GREENVILLE, SC – (August 29, 2017) – Tucanos Brazilian Grill located in Magnolia Park donated a variety of over 400 school supply items during their recent school supply drive to benefit the Greenville County School District. As a token of appreciation for participation, Tucanos provided those who donated an item, a complementary Brazilian lemonade. Throughout the supply drive, Tucanos also provided a free dessert to area teachers who dined at the restaurant. General Manager John Ramm stated, “I am thrilled that our school supply drive was such a success and that we were able to help out our community. The support our staff showed also confirms the values that we foster in our employees every day.” As a family restaurant that values a strong community, hosting this school supply drive was a natural fit for Tucanos, making a difference in the lives of the teachers and students in the area.

Tucanos Brazilian Restaurant Announces One Year Celebration

Tucanos invites guests to experience Brazil with special promotions and live entertainment

GREENVILLE, SC – (April 10, 2017) – Tucanos Brazilian Grill in Magnolia Park will be celebrating its 1 year anniversary on Monday, May 1, 2017. The Brazilian churrascaria first opened its doors on April, 28, 2016. Since then, Tucanos has become a staple in the Greenville community. In celebration of their first anniversary, Tucanos is offering their signature Brazilian Lemonade for only $1. They will also be hosting live entertainment from 5:00 to 7:00 for guests to enjoy while they experience the rich, authentic flavor of Tucanos Brazilian Grill. “We are incredibly grateful to the Greenville community for their support. This past year has been truly incredible,” says General Manager John Ramm, “We take great pride in providing our customers with the authentic Brazilian experience in their dining experience.” In recognition of the endless support that Tucanos has received from the Greenville community over the past year, Tucanos will be partnering with Loaves & Fishes, a local nonprofit dedicated to ending food insecurity in Greenville. Customers are invited to bring non-perishable food items or ‘two-cans’ to play on the Tucanos logo for donation when they come to celebrate the store’s anniversary. By doing so, guests will receive a free special dessert and a free non- alcoholic beverage. Tucanos will be donating a portion of the sales from the evening back to Loaves & Fishes.

They have hosted fundraisers on our behalf and have participated in our Taste of the Upstate fundraising competition. Loaves & Fishes is a non-denominational, 501(c) 3 non-profit bringing fresh food to the hungry daily. Loaves & Fishes, with the assistance of over 150 volunteers, rescues perishable food from local restaurants, caterers, churches, grocery stores, wholesalers and distributors. Donated food is delivered the same day to more than 98 agencies that use that food to feed the hungry. Agencies served by Loaves & Fishes include emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, group homes, community centers, senior programs, afterschool and summer programs for at risk kids in addition to low income housing for the elderly and disabled. Tucanos Hosts Quilts of Valor Fundraiser to Honor Veterans

GREENVILLE, SC – (March 3, 2017) – On March 2nd, Tucanos Brazilian Grill, a fun, festive churrascaria inspired by the beaches of Rio de Janeiro, partnered with local charity, Quilts of Valor Foundation, to host a fundraising night honoring three veterans, Ralph Hendricks (WWII), Elisha Sellers Jr. (WWII) and Harold White (Vietnam). Attendees at the event were given the opportunity to talk to the veterans present and thank them for their service, as well as watch them be wrapped with a homemade quilt on behalf Quilts of Valor Foundation Coordinators, Suzanne DiCarlo and Kenneth Hinkle. The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing ‘Quilts of Valor’. The Foundation was started in 2003 by Catherine Roberts whose inspiration was her son Nathaniel and his service. “Hosting this fundraiser at Tucanos was a great way to engage with the local community and we are proud to share this special event with those that were able to join us.” Said Kenneth Hinkle, representative from ‘Quilts of Valor’. Tucanos prides itself on being a vibrant part of the communities they reside in. The partnership with Quilts of Valor kicks off a monthly community relations initiative by the churrascaria. “We were honored to be a part of such a special ceremony. We love being an active part of our community and we plan to host monthly fundraising nights. Working with ‘Quilts of Valor’ for our first event proved to be a great success” said John Ramm, General Manager. “The atmosphere here is perfect for private parties and working with this organization was very special for all those involved.”

Ramm brings extensive restaurant industry experience to the Tucanos leadership team, and will play a key role in implementing and upholding Tucanos Credo, ensuring the genuine care and gratification of every guest through outstanding service and exceptional food.

With over 35 years of restaurant management experience in both the national chain and  independent restaurant segments, Ramm  His career highlights include the successful opening of five chain restaurants as well as three independent restaurants. Ramm has played a key role in developing and implementing multiple made-from-scratch menus, has developed multiple restaurant operations and training systems and has personally lead hundreds of successful restaurant managers.
